★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For Greeks living in this area north of Victoria Station Byzantion is a type of return to the 1980's (at least memory wise) when to live here was a status symbol for the upper middle class.
They have a loyal clientele of mostly older people who are willing to pay a small premium for the privilege of buying at a clean and modern bakery shop.
However, their bread is mediocre and the pastries are not the kind you will dream of. The best item they sell IMO is the espanakopita (spinach pie) as they use fresh spinach and onions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stuck in a foreign city because of an injured ankle and randomly placed an order for the sweet cheese pies/cake/coffee because the bakery came up on wolt.
Didn't realize how wonderful it would be! The baked treats were amazing and they even added a couple of extra favors! So sweet. The cappuccino freddo was so well done too.
Definitely going again during my time here :)

I’ve tried multiple items (ranging from the tarts to spinach pies, and I can’t express how much I’ve enjoyed the treats they continue to provide. I’ve used Wolt multiple times as well for these items and every time they’ve been packaged so carefully to keep them fresh and handled properly. With every bite you can be sure to taste the amount of love and dedication they have for the food they make. Thank you for being a part of my trip ❤️.
