Underwhelming food or we ordered the wrong things.. the Cretan Dakos was on the sour side, as was the Taramas (fish roe / eggs dip). Kopsidia grilled pork - good meat. Soutzoukaia was normal (meat with tomato and rice). Book in advance as there’s limited seating on the rooftop and no air conditioning inside.

When visiting Athens we go to this restaurant as often as we can. We booked a table upstairs rather than downstairs this time. It's fabulous... beautiful artwork and decor, as is downstairs, and of course with views of the Acropolis. Food is absolutely delicious. My companion and I don't eat meat, but plenty to choose from, really tasty dishes and clearly an excellent chef creating them! This place is so unique and so special, couldn't recommend it more highly! Jean Dowton

Hidden gem in the center of Athens, I didn’t even realize it had such a great view when I saw it from outside, but once u get upstairs you are amazed. Menu and prices are ok, I ordered the mousakas and was delicious. House wine also decent. Would have been a 5 star experience if the waiter at the end wouldn’t have been so rude and angry that me and my friends split the bill. I understand is not how Greeks normally do, but if u have a restaurant in the center where mostly tourists will come to eat, you must adapt to the situation and be always polite. Everybody pays by card nowadays, what is so difficult to split a bill? I’ve been a waitress for a few years as well and I never had an issue doing that. We even left a good tip which I believe he didn’t deserve. It made me feel very uncomfortable and he didn’t even went next to each person at the table (7 people) to charge each card, he just stood on one spot and crossed his arm all across my friends seating next to him, super rude.

During the day this restaurant is surrounded by a busy and interesting open market, a great place to people watch. In the evening their rooftop has amazing views of the acropolis, but you need to have a reservation. The tomatoes In my salad were so delicious, and the Moussaka was so good! Staff were super friendly and spoke great English.
