I expect to pay up here in Oia, but there’s a minimum level of quality expected. Also messed up a simple order. Try elsewhere for more creative food and better service and views.

So my husband and I celebrated our 28th year anniversary at this beautiful restaurant . We not only had the best food there. But we also had the best conversation with the most kindness, Caring , loving restaurant owner I have ever met. Very wise and knowledgeable. The restaurant has the most delicious home made Greek dishes on the island. I really enjoyed everything we ate. Plus the added benefits of feeling like I was apart of their family. I could go on and on about this restaurant. But don't take my word try it. You won't be disappointed at all.

The service and pacing of the meal was perfect (was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews). The server speaks several languages and was very friendly. The setting was very authentic and cozy with wonderful traditional music playing in the background. It is off the beaten path and full of charm. I highly recommend! So far, it was the best meal we have had in Oía.

There are some negative reviews here which may have put me off, but don't let that happen to you. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner and experience at this family run restaurant. The service isn't fast but frankly we enjoyed the relaxed nature of the experience. It was a beautiful contrast to the many restaurants who rush you through. On to the food. I had the lamb, their speciality, and it was to die for. My wife had the rooster. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Wine by the glass was a bit average so best to avoid that in favour of a bottle. The host, whose name I didn't get, was very friendly and attended to our needs carefully to ensure we were enjoying our food and drink. Can't recommend Candouni enough. If you're in Oia make sure you come for dinner.

If you are looking for authentic traditional Greek dishes at a great family restaurant, then you have come to the right place. Spiro is an amazing host and has great knowledge of local wines and traditional Greek dishes. I had the lamb house special and it was the most amazing lamb I have ever tasted - it fell right off of the bones and was tender and filled with flavor! I almost ate the bones too it was so delicious! The pesto calamari appetizer was also a hit with our group. We will definitely be coming back - 10 stars ⭐️ ⭐️!!
A	Atanas Kolev on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it! Amazing place with very warm atmosphere. Does not have a sea view, but this is the place that you can feel the traditional Greek food and music. It was very delicious - we tried the shrimps, fish, baked potatoes and mussels and everything was very tasty. But the best part was the warm welcome and attitude by the host. Definitely recommend it!
