★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ωραίο κεμπάπ, όπως επίσης και προβατίνα αρκεί να φυσάει για να τη φας ευχάριστα, γιατί είναι μέσα σε σοκάκι το μαγαζί και δεν έχει τον αέρα της παραλίας. Έχει επίσης και μαγειρευτά. Στο τέλος φέρνουν και καρπούζι. Ένα μαγαζί που πρέπει να το επισκεφτείς όταν περάσεις από Κάρυστο.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ώρα που δηλώνει ανοιχτά, κ ήταν ανοιχτά, 6 το απόγευμα δε μας έδωσε καμία σημασία, ούτε καν σηκώθηκε από την καρέκλα, ενώ μας είπε ότι δεν υπάρχει τίποτα. Ούτε καν κάτι της ώρας... Είχαμε έρθει από μακριά για να φάμε σ' αυτόν. Απαράδεκτος!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το μεσαιωνικό φρούριο που βρίσκεται πάνω απο τους Μύλους είναι σχεδόν εγκατελειμένο χωρίς κανένα τουριστικό ενδιαφέρων και πληροφορία εντός και εκτός του κάστρου.
Το γεγονός οτι το βράδυ φωτίζεται και έχουν γίνει κάποια έργα για να είναι προβάσιμο και επισκέψιμο είναι πολύ καλό, αλλά δεν δικαιολογεί σε καμιά περίπτωση το ποσό που δαπανήθηκε και αναγράφεται στην είσοδο.
Οι μοναδικοί πάντος μόνιμοι και ευχαριστημένοι θαμώνες του χώρου ήταν τα πρόβατα που συναντήσαμε και έβοσκαν αμέριμνα πλήρως εναρμονισμένα στο τοπίο το οποίο προσφέρει θέα εξερετική του Καρυστινού κόλπου!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ήρθαμε στην Κάρυστο κατά τη διάρκεια της Μ. Εβδομάδας. Πήραμε δύο φορές φαγητό σε πακέτο και ήταν και τις δύο εξαιρετικό. Τα πιο νόστιμα νηστίσιμα φαγητά (μαγειρεμένα αλλά και τηγανητά) που έχω φάει. Γεμιστά, σπανακορυζο, γαρίδες με κριθαράκι μαγειρεμένο τη στιγμή που πήγαμε, καλαμαράκια τηγανητά,
όλα εξαιρετικά. Και η ποιότητά τους τόσο εξαιρετική που φάγαμε το βράδυ και δεν μας βαρυνε στο ελάχιστο. Καλή σας Ανάσταση και καλή αντάμωση ξανά στην όμορφη Κάρυστο.
We came to Karystos during Holy Week. We got packed food twice and it was both great. The most delicious fasting foods (cooked and fried) I have eaten. Stuffed, spinach, shrimp with barley cooked the moment we went, fried squid,
all excellent. And their quality was so excellent that we ate at night and it did not burden us in the least. Happy Resurrection and good reunion again in beautiful Karystos.
