★ ★ ★ ★ ★ H Μονή της Τήνου ιδρύθηκε το 1663, στο μεσαιωνικό κάστρο του νησιού. Όταν το 1715 το νησί καταλήφθηκε από τους Οθωμανούς και το κάστρο ισοπεδώθηκε, τότε και οι μοναχοί, όπως όλοι οι κάτοικοι εγκαταστάθηκαν έξω από τα παλαιά τείχη, όπου σχημάτισαν νέο οικισμό «Έξω από το Μπούργκο» (Εξώμβουργο). Εκεί παρέμειναν μέχρι το 1835, οπότε αποφασίστηκε η μετεγκατάστασή τους στην τοποθεσία Λουτρά, όπου και η σημερινή εγκατάσταση του Τάγματος στην Τήνο.
 The Monastery of Tinos was founded in 1663 in the medieval castle of the island. When in 1715 the island was occupied by the Ottomans and the castle was leveled, then the monks, like all the inhabitants, settled outside the old walls, where they formed a new settlement "Outside Burgo" (Exomburgo). They remained there until 1835, when it was decided to relocate to Loutra, where the present settlement of the Order was located at Tinos.

I've gone. Very nice. As in the other monastery it is like traveling in time.
