★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this city, it seemed so calm. This is main city of Eubea Island / Evia Island and the only way to go from the island to the mainland. The sea currents are strong and change direction during the day, which is a very interesting fact.

The water changes direction very 6 hours.
The local kayak club take advantage of the crazy water.
Fascinating to watch.

This bridge have a long history because of the water under it witg every few hours the flow change sides.
Every day (each time in different hour) the bridge is opening and boats are passing
