Συστάθηκε το 1982 με απόφαση του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου Λάρισας και άρχισε να λειτουργεί το 1983, με πρώτο Πρόεδρο του Οργανισμού τον κ. Αλέξανδρο Μπατζανούλη. Σκοπός του Πολιτιστικού Οργανισμού είναι η ανάπτυξη πνευματικών, πολιτιστικών εκδηλώσεων και δραστηριοτήτων. Αποτελεί τον υπεύθυνο φορέα της πόλης, που αναλαμβάνει, κατευθύνει και οργανώνει πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις. Στις δραστηριότητες του Πολιτιστικού Οργανισμού είναι η λειτουργία Λεσχών Πολιτισμού, ο Δημοτικός Κουκλοθίασος «ΤΙΡΙΤΟΜΠΑ», η Δημοτική Βιβλιοθήκη, το Λογοτεχνικό Περιοδικό «ΓΡΑΦΗ» και η πραγματοποίηση κινηματογραφικών προβολών. The Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Larissa (P.O.D.L.) is a Legal Entity under Public Law (N.P.D.D.) and is housed in the "Hatzigianneio Municipal Cultural Center". It was established in 1982 by a decision of the Municipal Council of Larissa and started operating in 1983, with the first President of the Organization Mr. Alexandros Batzanoulis. The purpose of the Cultural Organization is the development of spiritual, cultural events and activities. It is the responsible body of the city, which undertakes, directs and organizes cultural events. The activities of the Cultural Organization include the operation of Cultural Clubs, the Municipal Puppet Show "TIRITOMPA", the Municipal Library, the Literary Magazine "GRAFI" and the realization of cinematic screenings.

Στο υπερυψωμένο ισόγειο έχει μία μεγάλη αίθουσα αμφιθέατρου, όπου γίνονται πολλές συγκεντρώσεις για ομιλίες και παραστάσεις. Στον δεύτερο όροφο έχει μία μεγάλη αίθουσα, όπου χρησιμοποιείται συνήθως σαν Εκθεσιακό Κέντρο, όπως με πίνακες ζωγραφικής διάφορων καλλιτεχνών και πολλών άλλων ανθρωπίνων δημιουργιών. Very nice Cultural Center of the Municipality of Larissa. On the ground floor there is a large auditorium, where many lectures and performances take place. The second floor has a large hall, where it is commonly used as an Exhibition Center, as with paintings by various artists and many other human creations.

Το προσωπικό καταπληκτικό, ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό. Exhibition space, on the ground floor has a large amphitheater where events and book presentations take place. Clean, in the center of the city which is very convenient. On the second floor there is a library which is updated and helps the readers of the city a lot! The staff amazing, polite and helpful.
