★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Στην Άνω Συνοικία των Τρικάλων σώζεται μέχρι σήμερα, αλλά δυστυχώς σε κακή κατάσταση και ο περίφημος Πύργος των Νοταράδων.΄
Κοντά σ’ αυτόν βρίσκεται ο χώρος, όπου σύμφωνα με την παράδοση γεννήθηκε ο Άγιος.
Στον χώρο αυτό υπάρχει μέχρι σήμερα ένα εκκλησάκι, το οποίο αποτελούσε τον τόπο προσευχής και άσκησης του Αγίου κατά την εφηβική του ηλικία.
Στις 16 Αυγούστου του 1968 θεμελιώθηκε, δίπλα στον χώρο, όπου σύμφωνα με την παράδοση γεννήθηκε ο άγιος, ο περικαλλής ιερός ναός του θαυματουργού Αγίου Γερασίμου.
Στην τελετή θεμελίωσης χοροστάτησε οι μακαριστοί πλέον Μητροπολίτες Κορίνθου Παντελεήμων, Ηλείας Αθανάσιος και Δημητριάδος Δαμασκηνός.

Ωστόσο, τόσο η Εκκλησία όσο και το Καμπαναριό χρειάζονται αρκετές επισκευές.ΟΛΑ μεσα στην σκονη και τα καντηλια σβησμενα . Η απόλυτη εγκατάλειψη..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Είναι μια όμορφη εκκλησία, με ωραίες αγιογραφίες με ζωντανά χρώματα. Στα αριστερά της εισόδου έχει για προσκύνημα αντικείμενα του Αγίου Γεράσιμου, ο οποίος γεννήθηκε στο χωριό αυτό. Βρίσκεται σε κεντρικό σημείο του χωριού και έχει υπέροχη θέα να απλώνεται στο μπροστινό μέρος του ναού. Το συστηνω ανεπιφύλακτα σε προσκυνητές αλλά και σε απλούς επισκέπτες.
It is a beautiful church, with beautiful hagiographies in vivid colors. To the left of the entrance there are objects for pilgrimage of Agios Gerasimos, who was born in this village. It is located in the center of the village and has a wonderful view to the front of the church. I highly recommend it to pilgrims but also to ordinary visitors.
