Όταν η πίστη συναντά το εμπόριο γίνεται πανουργία, όταν το εμπόριο της πίστης κρατά φυλακισμένα πλάσματα του Θεού γίνεται κακούργημα. Η δικιά μας Παναγιά δε χρειάζεται φυλακισμένα ακόμα και αυτά τα φίδια που ως τσίρκο θα τα θαυμάζουμε εμείς οι καλοί χριστιανοί για να αποδεικνύουμε το μέγεθος της πίστης μας.
 UNACCEPTABLE.
When faith meets trade it becomes cunning, when the trade of faith holds imprisoned creatures of God it becomes a crime. Our Lady does not need to be imprisoned even these snakes that as a circus we good Christians will admire to prove the greatness of our faith.

Very much worth the trip. Close to nearby tourist villages and very easy to go by car or taxi (20 minute drive from Lourdata)

It is located in Markopoulo, Kefalonia and is also known as Panagia Lagouvarda. There is a sign that prohibits photographing inside the church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful church as Greek orthodox churches always are. The outside is impressive but the inside blows your mind. Beautiful colours and pictures of bible stories are all over the ceilings and walls. Beautiful glints of gold everywhere too. Be respect when you enter and wear modest clothing.
