★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ὁ Ἱερός Ναός Ἁγίου Γεωργίου Σκοτούσης ἄρχισε νά κτίζεται τό 1920 καί ἀποπερατώθηκε τό 1927, ὅπως βεβαιώνουν οἱ γεροντότεροι κάτοικοι τῆς ἐνορίας, ἀλλά καί εἰκόνες τοῦ τέμπλου οἱ ὁποῖες φέρουν τήν ἡμερομηνία τῆς ἀποπερατώσεως τοῦ Ἱεροῦ Ναοῦ. Ὁ Ἱερός Ναός ἐγκαινιάστηκε ὑπό τοῦ μακαριστοῦ Μητροπολίτου Σερρῶν καί Νιγρίτης Κωνσταντίνου (Μεγγρέλη).
Κατά καιρούς ἐξωραΐσθηκε, ἀνακαινίσθηκε, προστέθηκε ὁ νάρθηκας καί βρίσκεται σέ ἐξέλιξη ἡ ἁγιογράφησή του.
The Holy Church of Agios Georgios Skotousis began to be built in 1920 and was completed in 1927, as confirmed by the oldest inhabitants of the parish, but also icons of the iconostasis which bear the date of the Annunciation. The Holy Temple was inaugurated by the Blessed Metropolitan of Serres and Nigritis Constantine (Megreli).
From time to time, the narthex was beautified, renovated, added and its painting is in progress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Στις 15 Μαρτίου 2020 με συνεργασία της εκκλησίας του Αγίου Γεωργίου και του φορέα ΚΟΙΝΟΝ ΣΚΟΤΟΥΣΣΑΙΩΝ έγινε η δενδροφύτευση του χώρου που βρίσκεται μεταξύ της εκκλησίας και της αίθουσας εκδηλώσεων. Για τη δενδροφύτευση χρησιμοποιήθηκαν ελαιόδεντρα και το άλσος θα ονομαστεί ΕΛΑΙΩΝΑΣ ΤΩΝ ΨΥΧΩΝ. Θα αποτελέσει ένα από τα σημεία μνήμης για τα 700 χρόνια ιστορίας της Σκοτούσσας!
On March 15, 2020, in collaboration with the church of Agios Georgios and the SOCIAL SCIENCES organization, the tree planting between the church and the event hall took place. Olive trees were used for tree planting and the grove will be called OLIVE OIL. It will be one of the memorable places for the 700 years of history of Skotoussa!
