g	geo scorpio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Άλλο ένα από τα άγνωστα διαμάντια της Μεσσηνίας. Πρόκειται για το βυζαντινό ναό των Ταξιαρχών του 10ου αιώνα και το φράγκικο κάστρο του 14ου αιώνα που τον περιβάλει. Από το κάστρο σώζονται ο οχυρός περίβολος που σε κάποια σημεία στέκει σε αρκετά καλό ύψος και ένας πύργος. Δυστυχώς ο ναός ήταν κλειστός για να τον επισκεφτούμε εσωτερικά, όπου σύμφωνα με την ενημερωτική πινακίδα υπάρχουν τοιχογραφίες του 18ου αιώνα. Η πρόσβαση πάντως είναι πολύ εύκολη ( φτάνει κανείς έξω από το κάστρο με το αυτοκίνητο) και στο χωριό ( Πολίχνη) υπάρχει στο κεντρικό δρόμο πινακίδα που κατευθύνει προς το κάστρο. Unfortunately, the church was closed to be visited internally, where according to the information board there are 18th century frescoes. However, access is very easy (you can get out of the castle by car) and in the village (Polichni) there is a sign on the main road that leads to the castle.
