The owner of this workshop is a master of building traditional kretan instruments. The business is owned by his family for 3 generations already. True legacy, masterful instruments. Very friendly staff, as i aksed about the instruments he called some guys from the back of the shop and they took some instruments abd performed 10 minutes of beautiful kretan music. We had a great time, could also watch the master building a lyra. Thank you!

The owner of the shop was so kind to my boyfriend, who plays guitar, and wanted to explore the bazooki! He took the time to chat with him and allowed him to play of their beautifully crafted instruments.

Had a great experience with Manolis. He showed us his workshop, how he makes the Lyra. Answered all our questions, even had some musicians play for us so we could dance! Bought a beautiful Lyra from him. Would recommend!

It was a wonderful experience! We love our handmade baglamas which we bought at a great price in this traditional handmade music store. The owner was very friendly and gave us a lot of background information about all his Cretan instruments. He showed us his workspace where all the instruments were made and we could enjoy the Cretan music which he and his colleagues played on his selfmade instruments. If you can appreciate traditional Greek music and/or you are looking for a great souvenir. This place definitely deserves a spot on your to do list when you are in Rethymnon.

When I went to greece, I didn't expect to be buying a Tzouras... This place was very cool, and if you can play a violin or guitar you should definitely check this store out. The woodworkers, and supposedly the owner gave a clear explanation, and you could try out the instruments yourself. The price of the instruments was lower then on sites in my country, so that was also a +.
