★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A secluded village in the middle of Corfu. This is not open to the public despite the Google listing appearing to show opening times. If you can sneak in (like we did) as part of a hotel group there are plenty of beautiful photo opportunities. However don't be fooled. This place is a shell, it's all a facade, nothing inside buildings other than old furniture and dust. Don't go out of your way if you dont have a reservation as you'll likely not get in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Danila village closed 20 years ago. It was supposed to be refurbished and this never happened. We walked there along a fairly busy road with no verge, lots of overhanging bushes and sharp bends, to find it closed and disintegrating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointing we walked for 5 mikes to get there only to find out that you can only go into the village with an organised tour from their on hotel . They are certainly missing out on buisness as a few were turned away at the same time as us . Not recommended at all to anyone so dont visit this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shame, was not open when we arrived, still says work is going on with an end date of the year 200!!, still was worth the trip with all the little mounting villages that we drove through, gives you such a good prospective of how some of the people of Corfu live
