★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was absolutely delicious. Authentic Thai is hard to find and here it was in the least expected neighbourhood. We ordered 6 dishes and all 6 were unique, tasty, fresh, flavourful and wonderfully enjoyable. I recommend this restaurant hands down!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I eat Thai food I expect my mouth to explode with flavour, this was all rather dull. The Chicken satay was good to start. The Pad Thai was tasteless, with only dried chilli to sprinkle on top with no heat whatsoever, along with some sugar, but no peanuts. The vegetable and shrimp dish was nothing more than a huge mound of vegetables cooked in soy with a little fish sauce. Where was the taste of fresh coriander, brown sugar, fresh hot red chillies and most of all Tamarind, surely a staple in Thai food ? This was just a plate of Chinese stir fry. The sticky rice was a grey lump of really over cooked rather tasteless rice which was inedible.
A great, buzzing venue, lovely service, but very disappointing and forgettable food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great atmosphere, very young and hip. Interesting cocktails. The food was great….until the next day. I got severe food poisoning from the Phad Se Ew. Based on our time walking through the markets earlier it could’ve happened anywhere, sadly for us it happened at Dara. I’d go back for atmosphere and cocktails but not food. Buyer beware.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We walked in without a reservation on a Saturday evening around 8 PM and had no problem finding a table inside. There are many vegeterian and vegan options on the menu. We ordered the tom yum soup, duck curry and phad meatmamuang with chickpea tempeh. The portions are huge, we realized we have ordered way too much once the soup has arrived. Our favourite was the tom yum soup but they were all very tasty. The service was great even though the server warned us of potential delays since he spends most of his time outside. The complimentary dessert (tapioca) was very light.

It's in an alley, walk through the doors and go downstairs, into a hip vibe like environment.
You can go there for drinks only or for the delicious Thai food
They had a love DJ at the joint really nice vibe.
Apparently, pets are allowed
Drinks and food sections are different, but same vibe.
