★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το Πανεπιστημιακό Δάσος Ταξιάρχη – Βραστάμων, είναι το ένα από τα δύο Τμήματα Διοίκησης (Δασαρχεία) του Ταμείου Δ.Δ.Π.Δασών.
Βρίσκεται στο κεντρικό τμήμα του όρους Χολομώντα σε απόσταση 70 χιλιομέτρων από τη Θεσσαλονίκη και 20 χιλιομέτρων από τον Πολύγυρο, πρωτεύουσα του Νομού Χαλκιδικής.
Η έκταση που καταλαμβάνει είναι περίπου 58.000 στρέμματα από τα οποία τα 42.000 στρέμματα είναι δασική έκταση, τα δε υπόλοιπα είναι η Κοινοτική έκταση του Ταξιάρχη και οι διάφοροι αγροί.
 The University Forest Taxiarchis - Vrastamon, is one of the two Departments of Administration (Forestry Offices) of the Fund D.D.P. Forests.
It is located in the central part of Mount Holomontas at a distance of 70 km from Thessaloniki and 20 km from Polygyros, the capital of the Prefecture of Halkidiki.
The area it occupies is about 58,000 acres, of which 42,000 acres are forest area, and the rest is the Community area of Taxiarchis and the various fields.
