★ ★ ★ ★ ★ George is is equal parts winemaker, gracious host, and mad scientist stressing quality over quantity. He is doing some very exciting things with Xinomavro and the extremely rare Preknadi grape variety. After emailing ahead of time, once we arrived he dropped everything he was doing to personally show us around, try some of his wine, and chat for a few hours. Nothing short of a fantastic experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great destination for U.S. wine travelers. George was responsive to appointment request, and an amazing host. He is so passionate about raising the profile of Greek wine internationally and on quality. He embodied Greek hospitality. He offered a tour of his production facility, cellar, and barrel aging room. He also offered a barrel tasting! Such a unique experience, we felt at home and special to have quality time with the winemaker. He is so passionate about doing xinomavro as best as possible, focusing on viticultre, and iterating his winemaking. We were thrilled to be introduced to the preknadi grape and hear of George's efforts to bring the grape back. The Naousa xino was our favorite, and we wish we could have shipped some home. We are stashing one Naoussa bottle in our suitcase to age in our home cellar. This is a must see winery!
