Olive oil predominant but delicious,
Try the fried cheese with honey and lemon marmalade, and the flower of zucchini stuffed with rice. Meat ball and pig with feta also great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly, the best meal and experience I have had in my lifetime. A friend and I were traveling to Greece and stumbled upon this restaurant- before opening hours, and they still let us in and started serving us.
We didn’t know what we were ordering, basically picked at random- it could have been anything and it would have been just as amazing. We started with the owners house made bread, warm out of the oven- so dense and delectable. Then our orders came- we shared a greek salad and sautéed greens, I ordered the honey pork- my friend the meatballs.
The waitress started by giving us the tour of our foods journey- where the tomatoes were harvested, and how the feta came from the owners personal goats. Every bite I took I was dancing with happiness. I ate to the point I could barely move. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and got a truly authentic Greek experience.
I may live in America, but I will be back to Athens specifically to eat at Diomataris again. I give my highest recommendation to this restaurant, I know you will be just as pleased as we were- if not more.

The owner and chef personally brought us some of the freshest cuisine I’ve ever eaten. My friend and I stumbled upon this place by chance and will literally make a special trip to Athens just to eat there again. 68372/10
