Best Winery in Greece

M	Marina Ehrler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great times of this winery are long over. Pretty old, aimed at tourists looking for a cheap thrill. Their great 6€ tasting includes 3 varieties of “cooking” wines. More decent options are included into their “Premium” tasting for 15€(Which is a total ripoff). If you are an experienced wine drinker, better skip this one and visit Gerovassiliou winery close to Thessaloniki. And FYI, their “premium” wines are sold in SPAR supermarket down the road for a lower price.

J	Julie Beck on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Domaine Porto Carras on 05.09.21 and arrived at the domaine at 4:07 pm expecting to get a short wine tasting, as the opening hours published are 9-5. A very unfriendly lady at the bar told us then that we are too late and she will not offer us a wine tasting any more, as she wanted to leave on time at 5 o clock and a wine tasting would take 1 hour. I suggested then to shorten the tasting to just 2 wines or just have 1 glass of wine, as we drove very far just to visit this wine domaine - nothing possible she said. I will not come again and will avoid buying any porto carras wines elsewere.

Vinarnya is located not far from the highway, therefore it is not possible to miss it, while the main territories of the Porto Carras health resort remain on the sidelines. It’s rather not a winery, but a tasting store where, for the money, which I don’t understand, you will be offered a choice of 3 sorts of wine from this producer, and if you want to play sommelier, the staff will help you with this. The range of prices is medium to high, while the standard line can be bought for almost the same money in stores throughout the country, it may make sense to buy an exclusive.

You can taste numerous types of vine for 7€ per person (if I recollect exactly) but because we were driving, just bought this package - special offer- including 2 white and 1 rosé for 18€

We ended up buying a couple of bottles of excellent wine at a very good price. A very relaxing and enjoyable experience. It was one of the very few things that turned out well around the horrible hotel below at the beach....
