Good food, great people and magnificent view. What else.

The location of the restaurant is very nice and the service was...ok. The dishes we picked however, were not as good as expected. We ordered the plate of cheeses and charcuterie, the pork fillet and the stuffed chicken. After reading the reviews we had high expectations and those weren't met. The dishes presentation was good but the final result not impressive. I believe for a lower price you can enjoy very nice traditional meals in the island. The meat at the Stavros restaurant for instance was of excellent quality and very well cooked.

Amazing views, delicious food and friendly staff

The only place where thought-out concepts meet perfect execution in this hidden ionian gem! We were pleasantly surprised dish after dish. A restaurant for the hungry and the foodie alike:) dishes to remember: kritharoto with shrimps, octopus, salad with green beans and smoked fish. A twist in every dish! Not to mention the sunset view ..DO NOT miss it!!

Huge disappointment // an absolute tourist trap Based on the previous reviews, we were very much looking to our diner at Dona Lefki but this place is unfortunately a complete tourist trap. The service was simply terrible and by far the worst on the island: the main course was served when we were still eating our entrée, the bill landed on the table in the middle of the main course without any explanation probably because another couple had a reservation for 21:30 - an hour and half after ours (I pointed it out to the server while paying and he said that they are legally obliged to distribute the bills during the meal due to tax purposes, which is inaccurate because the only obligation according to the Greek law is to deliver a written receipt, otherwise the client is legally not obliged to pay, but the law says nothing about when the receipt should be handed over) and when we asked whether the seafood was fresh, the answer was "well not because it's from the sea". Moreover, when we asked for some local wine, we received a quite misleading answer that there is none because local wines are too heavy. When it comes to the food, it was another huge disappointment. The entrée presented as ceviche was pretty far from its name: thick bites of fish (instead of thin slices) soaked up with soya sauce to the extent that it was impossible to determine whether the fish was fresh which I highly doubt. The steak ordered as rare was well cooked and the shrimps in the risotto tasted as if they were defrozen and stocked in the fridge for two days before being served. Honestly, any other restaurant that we tried on the island was better than Dona Lefki. Don't fall for the reviews that praise highly their cuisine probably because their authors have no idea how fine cuisine and fresh ingredients taste like and fall for Dona Lefki probably because it is a bit more expensive than other restaurants in Ithaca.

Great view of the Sunset over Kefalonia. Food looks great and is super delicious. Also a very kind service! Look at this musaka:) it looks like a desert:)

Fantastic location, even better food (believe it or not..). We had the steak and the tsipoura for mains, both cooked to perfection and could easily feature on the menu of a great restaurant in London (or any other food Mecca). Highly recommended.

The future of tradition! Awesome food, traditional, yet next level. Lovely people creating lovely food. And the place is the perfect underlining. Try if you have the option!
