They offer a great 5/8 wines tasting for 8/12€ respectively, with an explanation of the process of wine making. There's a selection of wines to choose from and an explanation of each of them. Service was very personal and we really enjoyed it. They offered to drive us to the closest KTEL bus stop (Neo Venerato) so we wouldn't have to drive back all the way to Heraklion.

The wines were ok to great, but the information on Greek wines was lovely to hear. The tour was quick, but informative (about 20min). A great experience for a small price.

They are really friendly and welcoming and our host spoke perfect English. We were lucky enough to arrive during the harvesting season so had a sneek peek into how wine here is made and now you can do so too.

We also ordered a mezze plate because we knew we would be hungry when we arrived. The wines were amazing (we taste 3 white wines, a Rosé and two red wines) and the assortments of cheeses and roasted meats was scrumptious. Hope, an oenology student, took us for a quick tour so we understood their winemaking techniques and she presented the wines and answered our questions as if she was a member of the winemaking team or family. If you are staying near Heraklion and have time to visit one winery, all roads lead to Douloufakis

We reserved visit one day before without knowing how many wines we will be able to taste or how much it would cost. Overall per person it was 3€ for tour and 15€ for tasting. We tried 7 different wines and they brough quite large plate of local delicacies including meat, cheese, honey, pierogi, light cracers, creamy split peas with olive oil and more... During thr tour revealed us some interesting historical stories, told and showed us how the wine is made, we also saw the bottling process, told us about wines in-depth. Must visit!
