★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το Μέγαρο Βλαχούτση βρίσκεται στην αρχή της οδού Πειραιώς στην Αθήνα και ανήκε στον πρωτοσπαθάριο της Βλαχίας Γ. Βλαχούτση. Είναι από τα πιο αξιόλογα σπίτια που χτίστηκαν στα πρώτα οθωνικά χρόνια. Η ανέγερσή του χρονολογείται στο έτος 1834. Αρχιτέκτονας του αρχοντικού Βλαχούτση ήταν μάλλον ο Σταμάτης Κλεάνθης.
Το μέγαρο Βλαχούτση αποτελείται από δυο συνεχόμενα οικοδομήματα με απλή αρχιτεκτονική δόμηση. Το σπίτι αυτό κατοικήθηκε από τον Βαυαρό πρόεδρο της Αντιβασιλείας Κόμη Ιωσήφ Λουδοβίκο Άρμανσπεργκ (Joseph Ludwig Graf von Armansperg, 1787 - 1853) - πριν από την ενηλικίωση του Όθωνα - και είχε γίνει το κέντρο της κοσμικής κίνησης στην οθωνική Αθήνα, όπου δίνονταν περίφημοι χοροί και δεξιώσεις.
Στα νεότερα χρόνια, το μέγαρο Βλαχούτση έγινε Πολυτεχνική Σχολή και αργότερα στέγασε το Ωδείο Αθηνών από το 1871 μέχρι το 1976. Ανακαινισμένο σήμερα, φιλοξενεί τη Δραματική Σχολή του Εθνικού Θεάτρου.
Vlachoutsi Palace is located at the beginning of Piraeus Street in Athens and belonged to the Vlachia G. Vlachoutsis Primarch. It is one of the most remarkable houses built in the early Otto- nian years. Its erection dates back to 1834. The architect of the Vlahoutsis mansion was probably Stamatis Kleanthis.
Vlachutsi mansion consists of two consecutive buildings with simple architectural structure. This house was inhabited by the Bavarian President of the Regent's Office, Joseph Ludwig Graf von Armansperg, 1787 - 1853 - before Otto's adulthood - and had become the center of secular movement in the Athenian Athenians receptions.
In modern times, the Vlachoutsi mansion became a Technical School and later housed the Athens Conservatory from 1871 to 1976. Renovated today, it hosts the National Theater Drama School.
