★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The weather was scorching but the area of the waterfall was pleasantly cool.
Thankfully, we arrived early when there was plenty of peace and quiet.We had a commune with nature before a tour bus arrived.
Bear in mind that the walk is short but uneven.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place to visit whilst holidaying in Evia. To be fully appreciated when you visit in spring, however the gorge provides with cool temperatures during the summer to escape the heat on the coastline of Evia. There is a small taverna under the trees to enjoy a meal. It is a child friendly place as there is also a playground to occupy the little one whilst you enjoy the beauty

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can park your car directly in front of the hike going to the falls. The path is well made and with safety ropes and railings. The falls is a quick 7 minute walk from the beginning of the path, there are other path leading to other falls if you have time and want to explore more. I can say that this is like a mini "hollywood" falls because it looks like the falls in the movies!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most beautiful landscapes in Northern Evia, just 25 km from Istiaia up to the mountains is the waterfall of Drymonas.
Deep inside the forest within a small gorge the waterfall creates small shallow lakes.
Its very easy to access cause there is a nice path with stairs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything is burned to the ground as of June 2022. Road is riddled with potholes due to heavy machinery/equipment which is now everywhere to pick up the burned logs.
Posting this as a fair warning to everyone not already knowing that this region saw a week long wild fire in summer 2021. We thought it had been spared by the fire but we were so wrong. So sad. ?
