Visited today. Very kind and professional people, specially Mrs Lentzou second floor. I have to change my opinion after the 3 visit. The office works mainly for foreigner but if you think to comunicate in English then no hope. ...If you try with the Greec you know and ask the lady to speak slowly she gets upset and continues in Greec even more quickly.... a pity because in the office is an assistent who speaks English very well but she ..... is not allowed to partecipate and help

Not that I had higher expectations by greek public services but this specific one is out of anyone's imagination. Despite the fact that the employees were not at all in the mood to work and they were joking and gossiping while 20+ people were waiting in the line, NO EMPLOYEE except of the one at the entrance was wearing a mask, in the period of pandemic with cases in Athens going crazy the last period. Funny to say that all the employees were obliged to have a Covid-19 test during the day and no-one had the results yet, so one more reason to be careful. Totally not responsible.

Considering its a Greek public office it was ok! A bunch of people were congregating around the service window, then you realize by asking some of them that you have to put your name on a sheet of paper & wait! I ended up at #82 when they were serving in the mid sixties! Waited about half an hour before they handled the paperwork my Greek accountant had given me! One of my better Greek public office experiences over the last 4 years considering the chaos & horrible waiting times it normally entails. The public workers behind window were actually pleasant:)

They request to schedule an appointment by phone or by mail, but dont answer none of the above. Then at the entrance they say I need to wait necause I dont have an appointment.. Together with other people that were told by phone that they dont need an appointment. The guard is rude and the waiting area is in the sun. waiting is endless. Some people here are waiting for services that could be easily given online at 2021. Terrible experience, and I need to go thru that just to be able to pay tax.. jjjj.

I have being visiting this revenue office for many years now and considering it's a Greek public service and for anyone who has visited any public service in Greece knows exactly what it's like, and keeping in mind that this revenue office deals with foreigners in Greece that come from all over the world and some don't speak Greek nor English which makes it very difficult for the workers to by helpful at all times, I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised this time by their behavior and helpfulness!! Especially by the supervisor on the second floor who is always very helpful!! I think his name is Haralambos. Thank you & keep up the good work and attitude!!

Hellenic Public Administration. A good reason to leave Greece.

This place is a disgrace. It's total chaos. You need an appointment to get in, however when you call them they say to send an email, when you email the address posted on the door just bounces back, when you try to make an appointment via the myaade website, this DOY office isn't listed as an option. There's essentially no way of making an appointment. Alternatively you can wait to be served – I've been here for 4 hours and am now being told to come back tomorrow morning at 7:30. It's totally ridiculous. If this country seriously wants to attract foreign investment, something needs to be done to improve these basic services. An actually functional online system to arrange an appointment in advance would go a long way...

They demand you make an appointment, yet their phone line is constantly busy, day after day after day after day... They say go online, but to someone not fluent in Greek, and site not being very coherent, it's a waste of time. So, doing the right thing is simply not possible at this point. Was told by an accountant to just show up because they will 'never answer their phone.' Did so, and waited for over 4 hours; waited almost to the minute of their closing at 2:30 in the afternoon (Greek banking hours). One more minute and they would make you come and waste another day. During this wait I assessed that this disorganization and dysfunction is probably by design as part of Greece's infamous bureaucracy most likely to maintain their head count. And that's because if they did things right, gave good instructions straight away by an employee of the tax authority (instead of someone working as a security guard), while providing the necessary forms to fill before going upstairs (with forms provided by the office and not from some kiosk outside and around the corner, that were legible forms, and also in English—since it's the most widely spoken language in the world—and it's to be used by GREEKS LIVING ABROAD), then there would not be much waiting at all. But the biggest problem above all was the total indifference and sheer rudeness I witnessed by employees towards others. There is absolutely no excuse for dragging down this country's reputation through the gutter, especially if you're so reliant on tourism and foreigners. If workers don't like dealing with the public, then find another job. It's that simple.
