Abandoned place with a few goats and a beautiful panoramic view. Road is fine by car, largely asphalted.

Steep ascent over a concrete road, above a fenced old military area, I would call it a lost place with a great view of the surroundings. Worth it.

Very accessible road, asphalt and concrete slabs. There's a dilapidated military base at the top or something like that. Just be careful about the sun's exposure throughout the day.

While staying at the hotel in Crete, I noticed Mount Éderi from the balcony. One day, after reading very positive reviews, I decided to try to conquer this mountain. I went hiking alone. If you want to go to the top of this mountain, you have to go along a long asphalt road that leads to the top. At the beginning of this road, there is a local Greek farm on the right, where by the time I walked, the open gates were wide open and very aggressive dogs stood on the property and started barking at me. Of course, I was scared and started running towards the top and I hoped that the dogs would not run after me. Fortunately, I was able to get to the top safely. The views are very good and interesting. It's just that there's a lot of heat up there. The abandoned military base is also interesting. Then, when I walked around the same farm as at the beginning, 4 big aggressive dogs ran out of the gate and started running after me. Out of panic, I quickly jumped over a sharp large fence that stands on the side of the road. Of course, I cut myself a bit. After a while, a local farmer arrived on the road and started pointing at me and speaking Greek. Then he showed me where to go and luckily he let me out of the gate and I was able to get out of there. Also, just before I left, he pointed to the road and tried to indicate to me that I should never return to this road. When I returned to the hotel through the local village, there were houses everywhere with aggressive barking dogs, who were sometimes released freely on the street. My final verdict on the hike is that if you value your health and don't want to be bitten by local dogs, I would definitely not try the ascent. I'm glad I came to the hotel fully healthy. In the worst case, at least use a car.
