Ederlezi Boutique Hotel - Lepeniotou 26

I had a really nice customer experience, while preparing my trip and stay to Athens last year. The staff was very helpful and responded to my emails very quickly. Unfortunately, from the moment that my trip had to be cancelled (due to the corona pandemic), the problems began. I have been trying to reach the staff via e-mail to organize the refund of my booking, but none of my e-mails has been answered till now. When I called for the first time in April, I was told to wait until May. When I called in May, I was again told to wait until June, when the hotels would re-open and the refund process could be initiated. When I called in June, I was told that the majority of the cancellations had been refunded, but apparently not mine. The staff searched for my reservation, asked me to send them my bank details and promised to initiate the refund as soon as possible. This was ten days ago and still nothing has happened. Additionally, nobody is answering the phone right now, and I don't even think that it would make sense to write another e-mail, since I've never got a respond. I was really planning to rebook my room as soon as the situation normalizes and traveling will be safe again. Unfortunately under these circumstances, Ederlezi doesn't give me any other option than not booking at their hotel again. I would have loved to judge the hotel as a guest, now I can only judge it by the way it handles a crisis like this. I can fully understand the difficulties that hotels are going through at this moment, but this behaviour is just unacceptable.

Great rooms. Great service, the staff was very helpful. Close to everything you might need. Lots of great bars and coffee shops around. The breakfast was fantastic. The rooftop is great place to relax with friends. The furniture and the decorations feel really cosy. The only downside is that it can get a bit noisy on Saturday because of the bars across the street, but we were expecting that when we booked since it's so central. The rest of the days it's quiet.
