Come here because of photos and good rate from others, and I am so happy for my choice, because the food is wonderful, not just simply fried and grilled like most restaurant do in the area, really tasty and healthy, totally suggest :)

Let me start with the ambience of the place again. Its a small place near to the port, we sat outside comfortably. Now about the food! We ordered the Taramosalate, Herring salad from Mani, Beef tongue a SARY, Pita wrap with pistachio, Cretan apaki as main course. The food is amazing and really well seasoned. The chef knows how to make food and it is evident from the meat, fish and salad. Do check out this place if you are in Aegena. Also try the pistachio submarine for dessert.

Delicious! Right off the port when you arrive in Aegina but not overpriced like a lot of the other spots. Really amazing dolmades, greens, and giant beans!

Food made from the heart and driven by a very imaginative mind. The aim is to shine all the island local products and fit them in a style of cooking that reminds Cretan gastronomic culture, and they succeeded. A perfect combination of Crete and Aegina food recreated and served by a very professional and warmfull family. I’ll repeat for sure.

Most of the restaurants close to the beach serve very similar dishes. After some time as a tourist on Aegina you might get fed up with restaurants that advertise Greek food (plus the obligatory burger and pasta). But Εδεσματοπωλείο ΠΕΤΡΑ offers many dishes that clearly differ from offerings of the tourist traps close by. We ordered four different dishes and all were tasty (the pork with sesame and honey was very dry though). We left feeling surprised that something a bit unique could be found just next to the beach. Staff was super friendly.

For a wonderful, welcoming experience would definitely recommend having dinner or a bite here. The dishes are so tasty, and unique in flavors compared to what you can find in the other restaurants. The owner and his wife are super friendly and happy to help you decide what to eat. While we were there, mostly locals were having a bite to eat. And when locals come somewhere, you know it’s good. Don’t doubt eating or having a drink here: go!

Probably one of the most impecable culinary experiences I’ve had im Greece so far. We read the reviews and first passed by cause it looked very touristy from outside. After a while we decided to give it a chance and I can’t just be happier about our decision. It’s a small family restaurant where the mum is the chef (even though she doesn’t like to be called “chef”) and the son works as a waiter- both of them are caring, kind, and professional, you can see from how they talk the passion for what they are doing. You can also taste it in the food: the love put on the selection of ingredients- all of them local-, decoration and mix of flavors is from another world (really didn’t have the chance to take pics to more than the appetizers because we were too excited with the food that forgot to take pics from the rest). I will be coming back here for sure next time, hopefully learning from them how to cook some of their dishes. I wish you the best luck, see you next year!

Great local food. Very tasty garlic pasta with pistachios. Big portion of shrimps. Great octopus with puree. I recommend also french frites (taste like a home made).
