★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Καταπληκτική βυζαντινή εκκλησία με υπέροχο εσωτερικό διάκοσμο που φαίνονται οι επιρροές των κατακτητών. Μπορεί πολύ ευκολα να παρκάρει από έξω ακόμα και μεγάλο πούλμαν. Αν τυχόν και είναι κλειστά ζητήστε το κλειδί από τα απέναντι καταστήματα.
Amazing Byzantine church with magnificent interior decorations that show the influence of the conquerors. Even a large coach can park very easily from the outside. If possible, ask for the key from opposite stores.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Τρισυπόστατος Βυζαντινός ναός στα Χάνια Αυλωναρίου με τρία κλίτη, αφιερωμένα στην Αγία Θέκλα στον Άγιο Ελευθέριο ή Άγιο Σεραφείμ και το κεντρικό κλίτος στον Άγιο Δημήτριο. Είναι ο παλαιότερος ναός της περιοχής, κατασκευασμένος τον 11ο αιώνα. Είναι χτισμένος πάνω σε παλιά ερείπια ναού της Αρτέμιδος και διακρίνονται τρείς φάσεις κατασκευής.
Three-aisled Byzantine church in Chania Avlonari with three aisles, dedicated to Agia Thekla in Agios Eleftherios or Agios Seraphim and the central aisle in Agios Dimitrios. It is the oldest church in the area, built in the 11th century. It is built on the old ruins of a temple of Artemis and there are three phases of construction.
