Difficult route that is necessarily rural or jeep. The church is beautiful and the view if it has no clouds indescribable!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful place to explore! With an altitude of 1.180-82m it has a magnificent panoramic view not only of the whole Chania province but also of Kythira island and even Peloponnese!! During WWII the Germans had constructed an observation position on the top with the trenches still visible on the northern side. The road is very difficult and passes through Elos village. There is a secondary road through Moustako village but it’s more difficult than the one from Elos and more lengthy. One needs a 4X4 to go to the top. Important is also to check the weather because it can be severely windy on the mountaintop!
