Από τότε, με διάλειμμα μόνο 5 χρόνων στα χρόνια της Γερμανικής κατοχής, ο Σύλλογος οργανώνει συστηματικά εξορμήσεις για τα μέλη του στην Κρήτη, την υπόλοιπη Ελλάδα, την Ευρώπη, αλλά και σε όλον τον κόσμο. Σήμερα ο ΕΟΣ Ηρακλείου ασχολείται με ορειβασία, πεζοπορία, αναρρίχηση, κατάβαση φαραγγιών και ορειβατικό σκι. Παράλληλα οργανώνει σχολές αναρρίχησης και χειμερινού βουνού, και υποστηρίζει μέλη του σε αποστολές στο εξωτερικό. Διαθέτει επίσης το ορειβατικό καταφύγιο «Πρίνος» στην ανατολική πλευρά του Ψηλορείτη, στα 1085 μέτρα. Τα μέλη του, ο κόσμος του Συλλόγου, είναι αξιόπιστα, φιλικά, ευγενικά, ανοιχτά σε όλους και προσπαθούν να διαδώσουν την αγάπη τους για το βουνό σε όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερο κόσμο. The Hellenic Mountaineering Association (EOS) of Heraklion, a member of the Hellenic Mountaineering - Climbing Federation (E.O.O.A.), was founded in 1932. Since then, with a break of only 5 years in the years of German occupation, the Association systematically organizes excursions for its members in Crete, the rest of Greece, Europe, but also around the world. Today EOS Heraklion deals with mountaineering, hiking, climbing, gorge descent and mountaineering skiing. At the same time, it organizes climbing and winter mountain schools, and supports its members in missions abroad.
