About Eureka Greek Language School

Our Story

The Eureka Greek Language School was founded in February 2020 and until recently the lessons were being conducted online. Finally, we are happy to welcome our students at our school at Athens city center and give them the opportunity to learn the Greek language while experiencing the Greek hospitality.
Our vision is to teach the Greek language and spread the Greek culture all over the world. We apply a student-centered approach, through which the learning process turns into an entertaining and stimulating “travel experience” to Greece. For us, learning a new language primarily motivates students to interpret the world from a new point of view. Based on this principle, the lessons are carefully designed by experienced native Greek teachers including various activities which inspire students to express themselves both in written and spoken speech on topics that excite their interest. If you are ready to learn the Greek language in a relaxing, funny atmosphere which deploys the interconnection among the different languages and cultures, then you are at the right place! Sie entwickelt ein individuell abgestimmtes Programm, das alle Elemente - Sprechen, Hörverstehen und Grammatik - abdeckt. Für die Wortschatzerweiterung haben wir häufig Diskussionen über aktuelle Themen geführt, sodass ein sehr zeitangepasstes Vokabular erlernt wird. Auch nutz Dimitra hervorragend verschiedene pädagogische und methodische Ansätze in ihren Stunden, sodass sich die Stunden sehr abwechslungsreich gestalten und wie im Fluge vorbeigehen. Ich habe unglaublich viel bei Dimitra gelernt und sehr schnell Fortschritte gemacht. Dimitra überzeugt durch ihrer Positivität, Offenheit und ihren Enthusiasmus! Ich kann die Eureka Greek Language School allen, die gerne Griechisch lernen oder sich verbessern möchten nur wärmstens empfehlen. Hier lernt man die griechische Sprache mit ganz viel Freude und Herz! I had private lessons with Dimitra and it was an incredibly good experience! The lessons are very well designed and structured. She develops an individually tailored program that covers all elements - speaking, listening and grammar. For vocabulary expansion, we have often held discussions on current topics, so that a very contemporary vocabulary is learned. Dimitra also makes excellent use of various pedagogical and methodical approaches in her lessons, so that the lessons are very varied and fly by. I learned an incredible amount from Dimitra and made progress very quickly. Dimitra convinces with her positivity, openness and enthusiasm! I would highly recommend Eureka Greek Language School to anyone interested in learning or improving Greek. Here you learn the Greek language with a lot of joy and heart!

I work with languages so I'm always very happy when I find a good and competent language teacher and Dimitra definitely is one! She's an extremely dynamic teacher, with a great instinct for the students' needs. The class was very varied and a lot of fun and time flew by (4 hours a day!). On top of her skills as a teacher, she's a very nice and sweet person. Regardless of your level of Greek, I totally recommend Dimitra's classes!

Even though I gave vague descriptions of my language goals and little notice prior to the start, Dimitra designed lessons that were methodical and engaging, that were flexible as they moved along. It often felt like learning how to walk - I thank her for speaking to me like a friend, for explaining the same words multiple times, and for having the patience to listen to me take 5 minutes to form a sentence. The school is centrally located and if you have no shame like me, you could go outside and immediately find people to talk to. I wasn't sure about Athens at first, but all I wanted at the end was 3 more weeks.

Dimitra is without doubt among the very best. The course has a clear structure, an excellent balance between speaking, listening, grammar. Dimitra's unrelenting enthusiasm and contagious good mood makes each lesson a pleasant experience to which I genuinely look forward to.
