Amazing bus driving skills in such tight streets. Must see it to believe it. Travelled 2-3km from Anna-Maria Hotel to town daily €1.80 each way.

Providing buses can save a lot of money to get to places in Mykonos but this system is so terribly run and also a scam. BEWARE... the old man that smokes and drives the paradise bus will try to rip both your tickets if you got return so do not let him do this only show him one!! Of course he will try and take advantage of the non Greek speaking people too and I am saying this as a person who can speak Greek. Also good luck getting on the late buses in the first place because they’re full of drunk teens pushing and shoving to try get on. Very disappointing overall.

Central busstation in Mykonos old town. From here buses run to most beaches and beach resorts. In general there is a connection every 30 minutes. To some places like Platis Gialos, buses run all night until 4 o'clock in the morning, every day! There is a ticket booth but if you are late it's possible to buy the ticket from the driver. The buses are clean and well maintained

Were on a cruise stop and thought of making a quick trip to any one of the beaches. was total chaos at the bus station. Buses were not running on time and information was sparse. was a waste of time as we had to head back

BEWARE if you have ferry connections! Lots of buses to the main places of interest but it’s operated very badly (just see the chaos as buses arrive and depart) and it’s expensive for many of the routes. Why are they still operating with timetables taped to boards? Why is the website not updated with clear information? Where is the clear information on approximate journey times and costs? If planning your trip in advance why do you have to visit online blogs and forums to find bus information because they cannot provide it on their website? For those catching a ferry they charge €2.50 per person (!) from the new port (where almost all ferries arrive/depart) and yet a taxi can be under €10, so well worth it for a couple of people. Our experience: There is no information on journey times. We asked the journey time to the new port (for our ferry) and were told it’s 10mins away. No one tells you the bus goes via the airport so your journey will be around 25mins, longer if traffic is bad. Due to a limited timetable we were catching a bus which should have got us to the port with 20mins before departure. As the bus departed over 10mins late (!) and then went to the airport (which is not clear from the timetable information) we arrived as our ferry departed. Goodbye ferry tickets! In hindsight it would have been cheaper and more pleasurable to catch a taxi.
