Η Φιλαρμονική Δήμου Κορινθίων ιδρύθηκε τον Ιούνιο του 1948 επι Δημαρχίας του αείμνηστου Νικόλαου Κοτσερώνη. Μέσα απο όλα αυτά τα χρόνια η Φιλαρμονική μας έχει να παρουσιάσει ένα τεράστιο πολιτισμικό έργο στην καλλιέργεια της μουσικής τέχνης. Σκοπός της Φιλαρμονικής είναι αφ'ενός μέν η παροχή δωρεάν διδασκαλίας μαθημάτων μουσικής και SOLFEGE από πτυχιούχους εξειδικευμένους καθηγητές , η εκμάθηση πνευστών , κρουστών , παραδοσιακών οργάνων (λαούτο , κανονάκι , κλαρίνο) και η παροχή έρευνας σύγχρονης μουσικής στους νέους μουσικούς της πόλης μας. Αφ'ετέρου δε η μουσική καλλιέργεια και προαγωγή του μουσικού αισθήματος , η ποιοτική ψυχαγωγία των Δημοτών μας με τη διοργάνωση μουσικοχορευτικών εκδηλώσεων Φεστιβάλ , συναυλιών κλπ διανθισμένων με ελληνική και ξένη μουσική.

The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Corinth was founded in June 1948 under the City Hall of the late Nikolaos Kotseronis. Through all these years our Philharmonic has to present a huge cultural work in the cultivation of the art of music. The purpose of the Philharmonic is on the one hand to provide free music lessons and SOLFEGE by graduate teachers, to learn winds, percussion, traditional instruments (lute, canon, clarinet) and to provide contemporary music research to our young musicians in the city. On the other hand, the musical cultivation and promotion of the musical feeling, the quality entertainment of our citizens with the organization of music and dance events, festivals, concerts, etc. adorned with Greek and foreign music.
