★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η Φιλαρμονική Εταιρία Λευκάδας ιδρύθηκε το 1850. Είναι το αρχαιότερο σωματείο στην περιοχή και η δεύτερη χρονολογικά ιδρυθείσα Φιλαρμονική στην Ελλάδα. Το 1864 παιανίζει για την Ένωση των Επτανήσων, το 1896 συμμετέχει στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες της Αθήνας, το 1906 παίρνει μέρος στην Μεσολυμπιάδα (μοναδική φιλαρμονική από τα Επτάνησα) και το 1983 της απονέμεται το βραβείο Ακαδημίας Αθηνών. Από το 1999 στεγάζεται σε ιδιόκτητο κτήριο στην οδό Κοντάρη, στο κέντρο της πόλης της Λευκάδας.
Το μικρό μουσείο της Φ.Ε.Λ. στεγάζεται στο ισόγειο του κτηρίου. Στα εκθέματά του περιλαμβάνονται παλιές παρτιτούρες και μουσικά όργανα, παλιές στολές των μουσικών της καθώς και πλούσιο φωτογραφικό υλικό από την πολύχρονη πολιτιστική της πορεία.
Η επίσκεψη είναι δωρεάν. Λειτουργεί από Δευτέρα μέχρι Παρασκευή 5μμ-8μμ.
The Lefkada Philharmonic Society was founded in 1850. It is the oldest association in the area and the second chronologically established Philharmonic in Greece. In 1864 he plays for the Union of Ionian Islands, in 1896 he participates in the Athens Olympics, in 1906 he participates in the Mesolympics (the only philharmonic from the Ionian Islands) and in 1983 he is awarded the Athens Academy Award. Since 1999 it has been housed in a privately owned building on Kontari Street, in the center of Lefkada town.
The small museum of FEL is located on the ground floor of the building. His exhibits include old musical scores and musical instruments, old costumes by his musicians as well as rich photographic material from his long cultural career.
The visit is free. Open Monday to Friday from 5pm to 8pm.
