★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every city has one iconic café. For Athens it’s Φίλιον. Coffee is great and service is 1st class. If you want to feel the vibe of cosmopolitan part of Athens you should visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ by occupying almost any walking possible free millimetre of the area, you will find yourself sitting out of the... church nearby.. it is almost a..take (a chair) away coffee shop.. low to average quality it couldn't follow the new taste and flavour coffee standards to the market.. as a "museum" historical coffee it's interesting.. not even relaxing chairs, always noisy and overcrowded.. look atound, there are really excellent options..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is an old institution in the neighborhood, pricy but nice environment. As for the service, I can only regret coming here. The waiter spilled the cappuccino all over my shorts when trying to take back a plate.... And the only thing he offered was to give me another one! Obviously I just wanted out but he had no gesture on the bill nor suggested something like a free pastry to go to compensate the bad experience. Really wondering if they have any sense of service over there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my happy places in Athens. From the very first moment I fell in love with this place, the beautiful souls working there and the food made from and with love. You can taste the love. Definitely a place where you find more locals than tourists. I love it. The people working at Filion are super kind, supportive and spread joy and happiness. Greek hospitality at its best. Great food, fairly priced. This place offers you everything you may wish for.
