★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great spot for this south eastern section of Corfu. The taverna has an area inside but the outside area is so very picturesque. Tables and chairs nestle beneath trees that give shade and ambiance. The menu has a great fish selection, many of which are caught by the local fishermen in Boukari. It’s great during the heat to refuel and get shade and hydrated, then spend time in the warm waters, swimming and relaxing. It’s well loved by locals so that says it all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent fish restaurant right on the shore, we had the Bass which was cooked to perfection and so delicious. The daughters shared a chicken filet which again was delicious along with a Greek salad. The owners were all very friendly and so were the cats :) well worth a visit! The fish is not cheap but it is so fresh and the view is priceless. Efcharisto!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most delicious food directly at the seashore! It's such a beautiful setting, next to the cristal clear sea, under blossoming trees. The fresh fish is absolutely delicious, as were all the other dishes we ate here. Excellent food. The wine was also great! Service is super friendly and professional. Altogether a wonderful culinary experience. We came back several times during our stay in Corfu, because we liked it so much. I highly recommend this taverna!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went two nights in a row, fabulous experience, great service, and the freshest fish while sitting right on the water. Yesterday we had the sea bream and the snapper and today we shared a wonderful sea bass.

Akrogiali Tavern claims to serve "The best fish in Europe"
- i can confirm that at least regarding Corfu island we indeed found the best fish here: We had white fish, sardines, sword fish and even prawn pasta over several occassions and all were fresh, juicy and seasoned perfectly.
The staff speaks english and accepts cards.
