Το Λαογραφικό Μουσείο της Ένωσης Ποντίων Πιερίας ιδρύθηκε από τον Ποντιακό Σύνδεσμο Πιερίας και στεγάζεται σε κτίριο που ανήκει στο Σύνδεσμο στο κέντρο της Κατερίνης, κοντά στο Δημοτικό Πάρκο. Άνοιξε το 1990, μετά από προσπάθειες συλλογής λαογραφικού υλικού που εξακολουθούσαν να κατείχαν οικογένειες προσφύγων από τον Πόντο που είχαν εγκατασταθεί στην Πιερία. Η καμπάνια διεξήχθη από τριμελή επιτροπή υπό την επίβλεψη των Καθηγητών Δημήτριου Παντερμαλή και Νόρας Σκουτέρης. Σκοπός του μουσείου είναι να διατηρήσει και να προωθήσει τον πολιτιστικό πλούτο των Ελλήνων Ποντίων. Έχει περίπου 600 αντικείμενα κοινωνικού, λαογραφικού και ιστορικού ενδιαφέροντος, μερικά από τα οποία είναι εξαιρετικά πολύτιμα. Στην αίθουσα εισόδου υπάρχουν, ένας μεγάλος χάρτης της Μαύρης Θάλασσας, με επισημασμένα τα μεγάλα κέντρα, φωτογραφίες σχολείων και χωριατών ηλικιωμένων από τις πόλεις Κοτύωρα, Σουχούμι και Καρς και προσωπικά υπάρχοντα των προσφύγων (βιβλία, κεντημένα υφάσματα, ποδιές). Το κύριο μέρος του μουσείου παρουσιάζει την ανακατασκευή των κύριων τμημάτων ενός σπιτιού του Πόντου: την αίθουσα υποδοχής με καναπέδες γύρω από ένα χαμηλό στρογγυλό τραπέζι, διακοσμητικά κεντημένα με τα γράμματα του αλφάβητου από τις άγαμες γυναίκες, και ψαλτήρια, και γυναικεία κοστούμια από τη Φάτσα, την Οινόη και την Τραπεζούντα. Δίπλα σε αυτό βρίσκεται η κρεβατοκάμαρα, με ένα κρεβάτι, κιλίμια, χαλιά, ψάθες, η στολή μιας νιόπαντρης γυναίκας από τα Κοτύωρα και άλλα έπιπλα. Στη συνέχεια υπάρχει η κουζίνα με τζάκι, τραπέζι, μαγειρικά σκεύη, λάμπες και μαγκάλι. Τέλος, σε μια γωνία εμφανίζεται αριθμός γεωργικών εργαλείων, μαζί με έναν πάγκο εργαλείων για το εμπόριο του κατασκευαστή χτενών

The Folklore Museum of the Union of Pontians of Pieria was founded by the Pontian Association of Pieria and is housed in a building belonging to the Association in the center of Katerini, near the Municipal Park. It opened in 1990, following efforts to collect folklore materials still in the possession of refugee families from Pontus who had settled in Pieria. The campaign was conducted by a three-member committee under the supervision of Professors Dimitrios Pantermalis and Noras Skouteris. The purpose of the museum is to preserve and promote the cultural wealth of the Greek Pontians. It has about 600 objects of social, folklore and historical interest, some of which are extremely valuable. In the entrance hall there is a large map of the Black Sea, marked with large centers, photos of schools and villages of the elderly from the cities of Kotyora, Sukhumi and Kars and personal belongings of refugees (books, embroidered fabrics, aprons). The main part of the museum presents the reconstruction of the main parts of a Pontus house: the reception hall with sofas around a low round table, decoratively embroidered with the letters of the alphabet by unmarried women, and psalteries, and women's costumes from Fatsa. Oinoi and Trabzon. Next to it is the bedroom, with a bed, rugs, carpets, mats, the costume of a newlywed woman from Kotyora and other furniture. Then there is the kitchen with fireplace, table, kitchen utensils, lamps and brazier. Finally, a number of agricultural tools appear in one corner, along with a tool rack for the commercial manufacturer of combs.
