On 17-09-17 we had our wedding day on one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete, Elafonisi. Margreet of Gamos Crete was our wedding planner. She has let our dream come true. Getting married on a white beach with a bright turquoise sea, with an intimate club of 17 guests. Margreet has been looking forward to the perfect venue for both the ceremony and dinner/party. The day has been great, all our wishes are fulfilled! Our guests and we just found it a fairytale! The stylist has exactly fulfilled our wishes, like the white chairs in the white sand and a beautiful bow of white orchids! The photographer has taken great pictures beyond our expectation, making this beautiful day forever. The drone specialist is also busy making our drone movie. He came with a lot of  ideas during the weddingday and the day after like a shooting in Balos. He was very professional. We are convinced that there will be a beautiful drone movie. With Margreet we have had contact for about one year through email, Whatsapp and Skype. With her warm and friendly personality she was always there for us! Questions were answered quickly and a solution was always made quickly by her. She even gave us some little things for decoration, like white tablecloths, beautiful candlesticks and olive lids for the chairs free of charge. Drive a several times one hour and a quarter (one way) in the car to travel to the south west tip of Crete, Elafonisi, to arrange everything for our wedding was no problem for her! By her we have the most beautiful day of our life exactly as we had hoped. Margreet, on behalf of us and our guests thank you very much for everything! We will never forget you!

Gamos Crete made our dream wedding come true in Crete. From the first time we met Margreet in person the year before our wedding, she was warm and welcoming. Our wedding was a little bit complicated. It involved 3 events in 3 different locations hosting 80+ people. She has a vast knowledge of the areas and the vendors and provides the complete package while also being flexible and understanding if you have any ideas that are unconventional. Most importantly, she cares about you as a couple and is even capable of pulling some magic out of the air (believe it or not, we changed churches 2 days before our wedding which was made possible by Margreet). If you are getting married in Chania or surrounding areas, Gamos Crete should be your first contact.

An unforgettable fairy tale wedding, all thanks to Gamos Crete! When we decided to get married in Crete we were looking for a wedding planner. Soon we came across Gamos Crete with many examples of beautiful weddings. After our first contact with Margreet we were immediately convinced that she would do everything for us to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. For 1,5 year we have been busy planning our wedding with Margreet. We had a clear picture of how the wedding should look like, but Margreet also came with many beautiful and helpful ideas. She always thought along, gave us an overview of cost and options but most importantly she gave an overview on the choices we had made and the matters that still had to be settled. Nothing was to crazy and everything was possible. Fireworks, Greek dancers, a vintage wedding car, the cake, a table full of candy, video and photographer and so on, she arranged everything perfectly! During the day, but even at night, Margreet was always there for us. During the wedding planning process we could give her a call at any moment and she would make sure that we were reassured and that everything was going as planned (which was always the case because she was so involved with everything). At the wedding day we were a little bit nervous if everything we had planned for the past 1,5 year would be as we imagined it. As being a bride and groom you are busy with yourselves during the preparations, so nothing you can see before it starts. Gamos Crete arranged everything perfectly into detail. We had two different locations and both locations were absolutely perfect decorated and organised. They couldn't have done a better job. Margreet made sure that we had nothing to worry about during our wedding day. We trusted her completely with everything because she was so involved in the past 1,5 year. Everything was according to plan, actually, everything was even better than we could have imagined! She took such good care of our guests. They loved Margreet as well! It was the most beautiful day of our lives. It was like a fairy tale with all our closest friends and family. Through every step of the way Margreet made sure to have no doubt that it was going to be the best wedding ever! Without her we couldn’t have done it. Planning our wedding in Chania, Crete was made incredibly simple by Margreet and Gamos Crete. Margreet was on hand night and day to answer our questions and to share pictures and ideas for the big day. We felt confident in booking our wedding venue (Manousakis Winery) based on her recommendations and were not disappointed. We went to visit the venue a few months before the wedding and Margreet had organised for all of the vendors to be there (lighting, flowers, catering, photographer, dj etc) which meant we could decide on all of the key features and visualise how the wedding would be ahead of time which really put our mind at ease given that we were miles away back in the UK. The feedback from the guests on the day has been amazing, everyone had the time of their lives especially us. The venue had been decorated beautifully by Margreet and the team using decorations she had sourced based on our requirements. There must also be a special mention for Henk who carried out our wedding ceremony. The guests loved the personal touch of the stories he told and the relaxed atmosphere of the whole day.

We would highly recommend Gamos Crete Weddings - they helped put together our dream Wedding in September 2018 that exceeded all our expectations in every way. Our planner Margreet Riemeijer was amazing taking care of every single detail in the planning of the wedding and personally coordinating the entire day making sure that the Bride & Groom and all the guests had the best possible experience. From the moment Margreet agreed to be our Wedding Planner she started planning every detail and things moved forward quickly - including all the things we had not even considered. She was always available day and night whenever we needed anything or had any questions, she was easy to work with and always enthusiastic whilst taking away all our stresses and worries. As well as exceptional organizational skills and a lot of experience she also has a great sense of humor which is also important if you will be working with someone for a long time. We decided on the locations one year before we got married when we were in Crete but then leading up to the Wedding we were only able to come to Crete a week before so we needed to put all our trust in Gamos Crete Weddings. They coordinated everything with the two separate venues for the Wedding and Reception plus all the different vendors and local suppliers. We had a very International Wedding with guests from all over the World - Margreet is fluent in English, Dutch and Greek and can most definitely handle an International Wedding. Gamos Crete Weddings also come with many recommended vendors and suppliers they work with regularly and we fully endorse all the choices Margreet suggested for us - we were always given plenty of information in advance and it was made as easy as possible to see examples of past Weddings to help guide our choices. We did not feel pressure to go with any of the recommendations either - we always had the final decision. The wedding celebrant- Henk Bekker- was recommended by Gamos and we felt very lucky to have him. Like Margreet, he spoke perfect English, Greek & Dutch. He took a lot of time to get to know us before the Wedding and spent a lot of time with us and our guests before the ceremony so it was a very personal experience for us and our families. In the end our wedding was something straight from the movies, we and all of our guests were so happy and thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Thank you Gamos Crete & Margreet!

9.9.19 Rob and I renewed our wedding vows under the Old Olive Tree in Vouves, a place that had become so special to us for many reasons! Having discussed this with Margreet whom we never met until we got to Crete, we were blown away by how she managed to capture what we wanted for our special day and our personalities! She is a total star, will become a friend and will now have a very special place in our hearts! She arranged absolutely everything and made us feel totally relaxed! Thank you lovely lady! ❤️

We could not recommend Margreet at Gamos Crete weddings enough!! Margreet's attention to detail was amazing and she made sure everything was organised EXACTLY how we had imagined. Margreet is personable and warm - just the kind of person you need with you on the day of your wedding - she keeps things organised but also has fun with it. Our wedding was pushed back by a year due to covid and throughout all of the uncertainty and stress this year Margreet made us feel calm throughout. She allowed us to make very last minute decisions on important parts of the wedding knowing that we were reluctant to make decisions in case the wedding had to be moved for the second time.
