GIANNAKIS FILOXENIA - Φιλοτίου

This was a very comfortable casual and quiet place off the main street to relax with a drink and a snack. It was a refreshing place for us to chill-out away from the crowds.

I absolutely love this place! Everything I need is here. Great host, wonderful woman and so thoughtful and kind. The room is impeccable, the view, gorgeous, and the village beautiful. Full review will be posted soon.

Positive: The prettiest village in Naxos. Great place to stay in. As for the accommodation, the rooms were very clean & the balcony was very convenient, too. Great value 4 money!.

We had a wonderful stay. Clean rooms, very helpful and resourceful staff. Ideally located in a picturesque village which made us feel that we had a truly authentic experience of the island. We will definitely choose Giannikis Rooms for our next trip to Naxos.

Positive: Great location, close to the center where all the tavernas are, and next to a nice bar with good music (44 miles is its name) and relaxing atmosphere.. Negative: There are no visible name signs on the object so its not very easy to find. The AC stopped working suddenly but i guess that can happen everywhere..

Positive: Pleasant room with basic kitchenette and big balcony. Close to bakery, mini-market and tavernas.. Negative: No hair drier. Garden lovely but is not private but part of adjoining cafe..

Positive: My room was beautiful, clean and spacious, and the block is right in the heart of the village. There is ready access to a very nice bar with a Greek name - it's the one with the mountain top olive tree. Negative: There was an issue in terms of communication, in that information about breakfast was not given when I checked in. A message with this info, I later found out, via booking.com was afterwards sent to me at 1 am in the morning however, but which did not reach me at that time or in the morning, since perhaps I don't have the booking.com app. An email letting me know that I had a message was never issued to me, perhaps because it was sent so late. In any case, I waited around for breakfast in the morning and even asked at the nearest bar if I get it there. Eventually I gave up and got it somewhere else. I later learnt that it's actually given slightly down the road a bit in that 44 mile bar/cafe. When paying the bill, I said that I obviously wouldn't be paying for the breakfast that I never got. The staff member then said that every other place would insist that I would pay this but that because he was generous he would let me away with it. At this point I got angry and told him to be more professional in that it's basic to give give the important information at check in when handing over over the keys, rather than attempting to send this in the early hours of the morning using a system that clearly does not guarantee that the message will always get through. I resent the fact that I got angry so as to set him straight about his laughable so called generosity - this shouldn't be part of a holiday. However, all other aspects of the accommodation were perfect though..

Positive: Very clean, comfortable room. Private balcony. Fridge in the room. No glasses in the room when we arrived but these were quickly provided with a bonus of kettle mugs and plates also. Close to tavernas and bars. Ideal location for a base for walking and a lovely friendly pretty little town. Rooms are good value. Negative: No sign above the entrance to the property which made it very hard to locate..
