The only nice thing about this hotel is the view and pool (which you get in most places in Santorini). For the price you pay you receive sub par service and almost feel like a nuisance to the staff. Due to COVID they have slots for breakfast and as we were a group of 5 they apparently couldn’t accommodate us at the same time so we couldn’t eat breakfast together. Further to this don’t expect your breakfast on time. The first day it was 30 mins late after being forced to take the 11am time slot - we called reception and they said it will be with us shortly. The next day it was late again and we called reception and apparently they had β€˜changed their policy so breakfast was in a 30 minute time slot now instead of a set time’ which was very convenient as it was over 30 minutes late. On our checking out day they said they would have breakfast ready for 10:15 for checkout at 11. We call at 11 and ask where it is and apparently there had been a power cut even though none of us had experienced any issues with our devices charging. Also the food is not great (clearly microwaved after precooking & omelettes & pancakes are solid is some parts). We asked if we could have a delayed checkout as our flight was at 7pm and they weren’t using the rooms and they wanted to charge €250 for the use of 1 room for 5 hours! Madness! So we just hung around the pool and used a loo instead. They also only use 1 taxi man who they definitely use to rip off tourists, hike the price up and take a cut. They charged €50 for an airport transfer and when we asked a different taxi they said €25. Very fishy that the hotel suggests a higher price and also the taxi driver had an attitude when we told him he was driving to the wrong place after telling him we wanted to go to ancient Thera numerous times. Finally they try and pretend the water in the room is complimentary which is not the case - nothing is complimentary! The room is not clean at all as well and not COVID safe - my sister washed mould off her shower which came off easily proving they don’t clean properly. Overall you could overlook small things if the price was lower but they charge a crazy amount for below par service. I would not stay here again.

This hotel is top of the top! All the staff is beyond friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you’re satisfied and cared for. By far the best hotel I have stayed at in Santorini. ??❀️?

All the hotels in Imeroviglu are very small with a boutique vibe, small swimming pools no large restaurant area for breakfast etc so just be aware of that when you’re booking. All the hotels are set into the hill and getting to them involves a lot of stairs etc so the space is limited and the hotels are all quite small. Having said that I have travelled a lot and honestly the views of caldera (The premium view of the island that’s in all of the postcards / insta and online images-the view that you pay a premium for) are absolutely breathtaking and I have seen nothing like it. The mornings and the sunsets are absolutely stunning and you definitely pay a premium for this view. We stayed in a superior room with a hot tub which really makes the experience special because you can enjoy the incredible view from the privacy of your own balcony with room service in the hot tub and have your own private sunset viewing. These type of hotels like Gold Suites are really created for a private moment in a group or with a partner to enjoy your surroundings and the view rather than the hotel itself. They are very small and private and quiet. We went in September and the area around the hotel itself was very quiet at night. The next night we went to fira for dinner which was lively and fun. The pool area was great, it had a bar, and the food we had there for lunch one day was actually very good. The breakfast food however was not great, it didn’t taste very fresh, the bacon was chewy and tasted like it had been cooked a while ago, however it was served on a balcony with all the trimmings coffee, shakes, orange juice, fresh fruit etc which was fresh and as a guest you can have anything you wanted so maybe it was just the choice of food that we got. The service was good but they are strict with check-in times and there was someone there complaining about the service they had received when we arrived. This made us a bit wary but in actual fact we have nothing to complain about. We stayed just one night. They helped us rent quad bikes which were reasonably priced. They also helped us book our airport taxis which was €60 for a transfer. It seems expensive but I think it might be quite similar everywhere, we did get a transfer on the way to the hotel in a minibus with other guests and it took us over two hours to get to our hotel and was half the price but I think that was not worth it personally. Overall I would recommend the hotel but we did only stay one night.

Our stay at the Gold Suites was incredible. We loved our spacious room, the jacuzzi, and the view of the island was incredible. We were told by many locals that the sunsets in Imerovigli far exceeded that of Oia and other places on the island, and they were right. We had the BEST sunsets from our room and the hotel pool. The hotel breakfast was outstanding; it was so delicious and we looked forward to it every morning. The service was top notch and the hotel staff was extremely friendly. The Wi-Fi at the hotel was much better than our Wi-Fi at other Greek hotels we stayed at during our trip. The staff was very accommodating and gave great restaurant recommendations and suggestions on things to do on the island. The location of the hotel was perfect being in the center for a quick drive to Oia or to the southern beaches. We can’t wait to come back to this hotel for many years to come!

My husband and I stayed at Gold Suites for 4 nights during our honeymoon to Greece. This hotel was our least favorite out of the three we stayed at in Greece. The main positives were the location of the hotel (great view of sunsets & access). You didn't have to lug your suitcases up any hills due to the great location and you had the same view of the sunsets as Oia, Santorini does, which are known to be the best on the island. We were disappointed upon arrival that the room we were given said "private" when booking but when we arrived we had the one closest to the pool which was inconvenient when breakfast was served outside and you have the whole pool wait staff seeing you come out in your robe every morning! Not to mention, they have one another room right next to yours so your dining right next to another family and/or couple with only a little space in between. We felt it was false advertising and those were the only two rooms that seemed to have that shared aspect and we noted on our reservation when booking that we were on our honeymoon!!! Another major aspect we didn't like about the hotel was that they only provided us with two bottles of water during our entire 4 day stay! This was the only hotel we went to like this during our two weeks in Greece. The staff wasn't very helpful when it came to recommending restaurants to eat at or when we needed change to tip. The concierge was rushing us with a google printout map upon arrival and wrote down so many restaurants with the sloppiest handwriting that we couldn’t even read what she said. They really should be rated as a 3-star hotel, not 4-star. This hotel is behind on everything in the service industry and seems to be banking on their location alone. Given that there are so many other options on the island, I wouldn't stay here again or recommend to anyone visiting Santorini!

We stayed at the Gold Suites for 3 nights during our 10 day stay in Greece. The entire staff especially Maria, Elena, and Sabrina were incredibly helpful, from accommodations to recommending local places to dine. We also had the most amazing upgraded room. We had a private jacuzzi and pool, as well as a dining table and a large closet for our luggage. The room was very spacious and private. We had a beautiful view of the sunset over Oia right from our balcony. We would definitely stay here again!
