Well I don't know where most of these photos were taken but they were certainly not where we stayed! The villa was totally inaccessible unless you had a car. To walk into the town for shopping took three hours up and down 45% inclines. The villa was very disappointing, none of the showers worked properly spraying water all round the bathrooms as the fittings were not secure, one bedroom did not have a door!, the freezer was filthy and full of old ice. There was nothing in the kitchen on arrival other than some bottled water so you must either take food or shop before you arrive, only six sets of cutlery for a villa to sleep 8, very poor assortment of cooking implements, no spare pillows or blankets, no comfortable outdoor seats or loungers. Certainly nothing luxury about this place, the only thing they have right is the sunset but that's nothing to do with them anyway. Very expensive and not worth the money, I would not recommend in any way and would not even give one star but cannot post without!

Our family of 5 had a fantastic holiday staying at the Golden Sunset Villas. The staff were extremely helpful, the villa was very clean and spacious and the view was wonderful. We have all come home planning to go back.

The villa was nice enough but the mosquito infestation was ridiculous. I woke up with my face and arms covered in red dots. On our drive back to the harbor was when they decided to tell us that had had some sort of “strip” to help with the mosquito problem, but i’m still waiting on the strip that will help with the red dots all over my face!!!!! I understand that the bugs are inevitable outside, but when the villa is infested on the inside to the point where they were flying in my nose and causing me to lose sleep from the biting and buzzing it is insane. The beds felt like mosquito nests!

Ok so the view is amazing, I’ll give it that. I really wanted to love it, especially because the staff was nice...but after 4 nights I honestly had enough. First off, we arrived and the villa was not appropriately cleaned. There were dead mosquitos smeared on the walls. The patios were unkept and there was dirt all over the cushions - like no one had used them in weeks. The view was amazing, but aesthetically, the outside spaces here are not inviting at all, which is a shame because the view is so stunning. The biggest issue we had was with the mosquitos. I completely understand that the mosquitos at this time of year are inevitable, but the villa was infested. At night you’d hear mosquitos buzzing around your head. We each woke up with a bunch of bites. My poor son, who was 5 months old at the time, was swaddled each night, and the only part of him that was exposed was his head — and his face and scalp were covered in bites: little bites, but nonetheless he had at least 25 by the time we left. Aesthetically, it’s a basic place: not much thought put into decor. Wires to the TVs and other electronics were just bunched up and left out on the floors - things like that. Not a huge problem, but it just didn’t make you excited to be there. I also felt like there wasn’t much effort put into making you feel welcome either. Usually when you arrive at a place there is a welcome packet with WiFi code, important phone numbers, restaurant suggestions. There was none of that. It was simply a drop off at the place and you’re on your own. We were given a What’s App contact and that was responsive, but that’s about it. Another thing to note: if you stay here, you need to hire a car - the location is a bit away from town and you literally can’t walk anywhere. This was something we didn’t know, and ended up getting a driver the last two days. Once we did that it worked out great and that saved our trip.

No Fuss.. The perfect place for my get away. I've been many times before in Mykonos and this is one of my favourite place, unpretentious, chill, authentic, what I feel a true holiday should be! The staff is professional and very friendly. The surroundings are beautiful to walk but I would highly recommend to rent a car. See you next year!???

Great view but little else. No shower curtains, coffee maker on its last legs, TVs get nothing and everything is pretty okay at best in general. Good news is that we really only slept here and it was nice and quiet for that. If I had to stay here again I would be fine but I would prefer a different property.
