★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During times turbulent and uncertain, I keep thinking back to my happy place as a calming anchor- The Good Life Greece.
Nestled on a hill overlooking farmland, sheep, and the deep blue Aegean, we were content to pass the time slowly. Slow, meandering walks through the little town of Poseidonia. Slow rises from a plush bed in the morning, with a delicious espresso machine to coax us awake. And just that slow, delicious way of living when you eat fresh food (thanks for the wine night + dinner!) and throw a "kalimera" to the neighbors as they pick olives from their tree.
But for those adventurous, the main hub of Ermpouli offers restaurants, shopping, and incomparable views just a quick drive away. You get a balance of island life by staying at The Good Life that those in my party are still discussing years later.
And not to even speak of the service (excellent, with even better conversations!) or the delightful accomodations. I truly hope I can steal my family and friends away for another escape to this place that seems to slow time and stress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we stayed in one of the smaller Villas at the Good Life but it was still fantastic. It is a 300 year old converted farm and vineyard within 5 minutes of the best beaches on the island. We go back every year!! Thanks for a perfect holiday

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the place, peaceful, by the beach, on a road where no cars pass by. The owners gave us a wine and food of the island evening, which was absolutely lovely in the setting sun. We met really interesting people and felt so at home. Rooms are made of marble stones, king bed and great pillows (my bugbear is hard pillows)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I travelled throughout Greece for 3 weeks and although it was great, no place was as relaxing as The Good Life on Syros island. Nick and Elspeth were the best hosts by far and they made us very comfortable and relaxed. The Good Life was the only place in Greece where we were truly able to relax. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach which you can see from your room. I am going back for sure and can't wait to relax in their villas again. If you don't have anywhere to go in Greece, make this a must see. Yiasou!

Nik and Elspeth looked after us so well, without ever prying: perfect hospitality.
The view over the bay really is like the pictures.
The walk to the beach is a mere five minutes.
The rooms were pretty and yet also perfectly functional: the kitchen really DOES have everything you need to cook.
We wouldn't change a thing- and hope to return soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place. I have stayed here as a guest before the renovations were complete and even then it was amazing. Nick and Elspeth are lovely people, and the island is amazing. Life there is how it should be - relaxed and filled with time to reflect on what really matters most.
