★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely weekend in Mykonos for our wedding anniversary, staying in a water view bungalow at the Grecotel Mykonos Blu hotel.
The room itself was lovely, felt very Greek. Everything on hand to make our stay comfortable.
Breakfast was okay, with plenty of choice of food, all fresh.
Staff were friendly and were on hand to help with our needs.
Right now time to cover the part that loses the hotel one star. Whilst the staff were friendly and the hotel was nice, it felt very hard work when trying to sort out breakfast.
WhatsApp is used to do the bookings, it took several attempts to book in for breakfast for the next day, time slots were taken or weren’t available and it felt we had to fit in with the staff.
This sounds like I’m nit picking, but this really did feel like hard work and several times had to change breakfast arrangements due to this process. We even thought about skipping breakfast and using a local bakery.
Because of this, we felt that we didn’t want to book in at the restaurant in the evening, which is such a shame.
Then when it came to the last night, reception had called us a couple of times. This was to discuss out check out the next day.
It was to reiterate the check out times as they had guests who were booked in our room arriving early that day. We felt very much pushed out and decided to check out just after breakfast at 9am.
Such a shame as it is a beautiful place in a great area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the greatest experience staying here with my wife on our honeymoon. The staff went over the top to make sure everything went very well. The accommodations were the nicest out of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip. And the private beach at the hotel was one of the best parts of our trip. I’d definitely come back here when I return to Mykonos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at in general. The service was top notch. Every employee was so nice and went out of their way for you. I was obsessed with the hotel lobby as soon as I walked in, I felt like I was walking into a luxurious spa. The pool area is really nice and you get a beautiful view of Psarou beach. The hotel is on the best beach in Mykonos. Psarou beach is the best because it’s not windy like the other beaches. I also like how you don’t have to pay for a sun bed when you want to lay out, like the other beaches make you do. The employees that work at the beach are also extremely nice. Can’t wait to stay at this hotel again in the future!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing service and location. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and really appreciated the treatment. We also enjoyed meeting and getting to know Maria and Simone. Most importantly, can’t beat the beach access (Psarrou)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grecotel Mykonos Blu is my favourite five-star hotel on the island and I highly recommend the hotel for your next visit to Mykonos!
The location is perfect, only 5 – 10 minutes from Mykonos Town by car.
This luxury hotel offers breathtaking and unique views over the most beautiful and famous beach on the island – Psarou. Also, it offers a private beach area for hotel guests only.
The pool area is awesome day and night, with a great atmosphere. The lunch experience I had this year in the restaurant was excellent!
Rooms are amazing, absolutely clean, huge and comfortable with stunning sea views. Highly recommend the pool suites, each one is unique, has a private patio with a pool and direct view over the sea.
Last but not least – the staff are professional, offer a high level of service, so friendly and helpful! Special thanks to the general manager, Mr. Alexandros Papaioannou,, for the warm welcome! Every time he takes care to make our stay unforgettable!
Looking forward to coming back next summer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful resort, beautiful private beach, but this hotel is not what it advertises. The staff is polite, but is trained to woo their guests. Thankful we only booked this hotel for one night on our way to Santorini. Check in is listed as 2pm but us along with half a dozen other guests had to wait until 4:30pm to check in, while our bags sat unattended for 2.5 hours. Once in our room, the room smelled of very heavy and fresh paint, there isn’t any warm water, apparently in several of the rooms as you will know if you read more comments. Parts of the roof had holes and gaps, exposing attic area, where bugs could easily gain access to your room. We booked the room in advanced and asked for the blankets to not contain feathers as my wife is allergic. The staff did not acknowledge our request, and when they finally did, it wasn’t until midnight, that a staff member brought the correct blankets. Again the views are beautiful, but I would strongly recommend a different resort or hotel. It’s your money, be smart with it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1 Star is fair here and I never write reviews. But we stayed here on our honeymoon and had about the worst possible stay you could have so wanted to warn fellow travelers. The hotel transportation never showed up to pick us up from the ferry, the first room we got smelled like it had been painted the day of, so we requested to move. The room they moved us to had no air conditioning when it was 85-90 outside, the bed dipped in from all sides at least 18 inches (we had to put pillows in the middle of the bed to try to make it manageable to sleep) and there were no blinds so we couldn't change in our room without people outside seeing in. They not only didn't fix the AC that day or get us blinds but didn't move us either until the following day. Offered us no money back and only upgraded us to a slightly nicer room the following day after. Took them eight hours to even bring us a fan for the room. There were at least two other customers requesting room changes too at the front desk when we were, so it was clearly not just an us issue.
It wasn't just the room either where the service was terrible. At the pool, lunch took 2.5 hours because of how slow the service was and at the beach it took usually between 45 minutes to an hour to get a drink after you finally were able to flag down the attendant to order. It was clear the pool and beach staff was trying but they were completely understaffed. The service at the beach restaurant Nammes just down the beach was unbelievable with staff everywhere and same everywhere else we went, so it was clearly just the resort being cheap and/or poorly ran. There were also so few pool chairs at the pool that you couldn't lay by the pool the majority of the time if you wanted to until someone got up.
The only positive I have from this stay is the resort was pretty and the restaurant directly across the street Nikos Gallup was unbelievably good.
