Me and my father we were able to get a wonderful guide by the name of Odysseus (a perfect name for someone who’ll be taking us on an Odyssey around Athens, aha) who could speak fluent English. He clearly loves the city, and understands a great deal about it, knowing its history both ancient and modern. He is very passionate and is eager to talk about what is clearly his favorite subject, telling you anything you want to know about the city. We had an excellent time, and the tour was incredibly informative, and I’m saying this as a lover and a student of history who already knew a great deal about Athens. I can only recommend highly enough!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Something to remember. Greece is a country that in spite of the economic situation it is going through, I did not see that tourism is affected. Athens is not a great super metropolis, it is the typical European city with hundreds of restaurants on the sidewalks. With important archaeological sites and ancient constructions. It takes time to visit Greece. The museums preserve the history of Athens very well. Physical preparation is needed to climb the Acropolis and walk the city. Our experience was unique.

I requested info from Antelope travel (thanks Sbsan) and keytour. Aegean Thesaurus have packages for island hopping for 7 and 14 days, and we'll be there longer than 7 days but less than 14 days. I'll request an adjusted package if allowed.
