★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely guesthouse and lovely hosts. We couldn't have arrived at a more perfect place after trekking from Mystras to Anavryti. George and Marie are terrific hosts, the house is rustic and beautiful and very comfortable. The balcony views are breathtaking. Our hosts have a wonderful sense of humor and their hospitality and warmth made us feel at home right away. George himself volunteers for the upkeep of the E4 hiking trail in the area and drove us to the trekking start points as the refuge was closed this time of year. Marie cooked wonderful meals and her cakes and stuffed baked pies were delicious. It was the special atmosphere and warmness that we didn't expect that made our visit so memorable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very warm welcome was given by the owner when we arrived. She's also responsible for the breakfast and the dinner both amazingly delicious. The self made marmelades, bread and cakes as well.
The house itself is quite an original: old, well maintained, cosy and fancy. Very clean rooms and perfect beads with new mattresses, not too soft just perfect.
It's also a very good place to start a hiking tour to wherever you want to go around this area.
Start your day in the dining and living room with ist huge windows and amazing view and enjoy the tasty breakfast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are the 2nd Chinese family to visit this beautiful guesthouse, located in olive and orange mountains. You can totally forget time, reading and dining in the little yard with a cat murmuring or in the attic-style dining room with a view of a church bell tower. Everything is Greek and original. Food is organic and homemade. I like the traditional bread and marmalade and thyme tea. A real rare find in my vacation.

George and Mary will make you feel at home from the first minute!
Anavryti is a great location where you can enjoy fresh air and history as well as to explore Taygetus mountain.
George will give you all the information required for an amazing hiking! Each trail has its own beauty from the gorge and hidden churches to the shelter and little villages frozen in time.
Archontiko guesthouse has its own story to tell. You may ask Mary and George and discover the building’s original features, old photos that capture life during last century.
For me it was a home away for home!
Looking forward to visiting them again!
