Wonderful, as always. Homemade food at its best. I personally ate the best stew, cabbage root and imam in my life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good authentic Greek cooking at good prices. Take out only because of the virus restrictions by the Greek government. It is a very nice middle aged couple, who have the restaurant. Excellent choice for a good meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is your proverbial hole in the wall that is worth a visit. Run by a really sweet elderly husband and wife team, Piperia serves classic Greek dishes perfectly executed.
They use spices and seasoning that showcase family traditions from the east, for prices that are quite honestly too cheap.
Their slogan is “food for grandchildren” and will tell you that there is nothing corny about that. This is the kind of place that will elevate your experience in athens and help you come closer to understanding the cuisine without paying a tourist tax. Enjoy it!
