★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here in the square for Saint Dionisis festival, fantastic beers and a lovely seat in the chilled square. Come early though seats are very sought after, staff are very attentive and are always rushing to serve the tables, food is very inexpensive great

This ‘On the Square’ takeout with outdoor sitting area, is a hidden gem but very popular by locals with smoky and grill flavoured dishes no one can resist. In a 10 day time we tasted and tried tens of places but nothing compares to this place at St Lukas piazza - offering tender, delish roasted meat accomplished with local salsas and crunchy pitta breads. Ask for pork spare ribs / succulent belly roast if in stock. Devine!
Food is very fresh, inexpensive and got tons of local authentic herbs that are irresistible. To round up the meal order some low-key but refreshing white wine from the fridge and finally - do soak in the unforgettable evening Greek atmosphere in Zakynthos town.
