★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a pity!This fantastic monument of Hadrian Aqueduct of what it remains basically two columns in the central section and left and right of centre three columns left to deteriorate without any protection in their bases but also in its structure where falling or extracted(!)ancient bricks from vandals .From closer observation the left section of the remaining Aqueduct seems to have a forth column nearly cannibalised .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would give it a 5/5 rating simply based on the significance of the site, but unfortunately the modern Greek has no respect for his or her own history, and that is painfully visible in the neglect this Roman site has to endure, whether it be unceremonious building around it, unkempt grasses, or the graffiti of the Hellenic Vandals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4 stars are for the monument itself. Otherwise it is pretty much neglected. Unfortunately the ministry of culture does not seem to be interested in the proper preservation of this unique Roman aqueduct, which is in one of the few such monuments that have survived not just in Greece but in whole Europe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would not say that this place is something special. It is located next to a central avenue of Athens. It is not worth going only for this, unless you intend to visit the nearby Veikou Grove.
