We contact her and schedule a whole day tour of the Jewish Quarter, Jewish life and history. We confirmed the day and time 2 weeks before arrival. We were looking forward to it. Our family is originally from Thessaloniki and we wanted to learn everything we can possibly learn about them.
No one showed up at the time of meeting, or an hour later. We called, emailed, texted. Two and a half hours later Hella called us with an emergency excuse. We wasted our time planning and waiting for her on a very precious trip.
