★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like so much else in Athens, the information given here on Google maps and in other tourist guides is wrong. The hours are completely different AND you must book a visit IN ADVANCE at (maybe) neon.artsvp.co or you can try neon.org.co
(So… the guy at the door says, “We open in an hour. Why don’t you go to the kafenion down the road and wait a bit…?” Should I do it? I’ll let you know…)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautifully renovated former tobacco industry now houses the library of the greek parliament. When one passes through the security check, a hidden gem reveals. Library is open to the public on a daily basis and houses almost a million books, some of which quite rare. Definitely worth a visit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Neon exhibition until December 2021 ! The art is cool but the building is just amazing. Roaming among arts is great. Some I don t understand… but others are cool.
The place is quite hot though… make sure to bring water

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovingly restored old tobacco factory that until December 2021 has a truly impressive and important exhibition called Portals. Many artists from many countries participating. It is an extremely well curated exhibit with many types of art.
