C	Christos Giarlelis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After following a scenic route one arrives at a small village of five houses only! The whole experience is exciting. This is the homeland of the Kolokotronis' Family. At an inventory of 1711, 500 residents were recorded at Limpovisi mainly because due to its altitude and difficult access it provided a safe place to live. Nowadays at Limpovisi, the House of Kolokotronis family has been restored and functions as a museum.
R	Rock Cyprus on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A significant place in the history of the Greek modern state. Here the village of Limpovisi was situated during the Venetian and Turkish rule. While it became quite big in the 18th century, only few ruins of the old village remain today. It is of course famous for being the place were the ancestors of the legendary General of the Greek Revolution Theodoros Kolokotronis lived for 12 generations. A replica of the Kolokotronis family house has been erected in 1990, funded by Panagiotis Aggelopoulos. It now serves as a museum. There is also an excellent coffee house and a fire station in the present square of Limpovisi. Well worth the drive to reach it through the marvellous Menalon forest!

E	Eirini Ap on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location of the village and the house is itself simoly stunning, in a green pine forest at 1200m height. The house is well preserved but the local authorities could definitely do more with it.

Make sure it's open before you go. We just happened to drive through the area on our way to Elati village so it was a small detour for us.
